AP Summer Studios: María Korol

ART PAPERS Summer Studios is series of studio visits with Atlanta-area artists, selected by Art Papers. Attendees will meet the artists and learn about their practices. Conversation and Q&A guided by AP Editor + Artistic Director Sarah Higgins.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided. AP subscriptions and merchandise will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $25 for each studio visit, and availability is limited. We recommend you purchase ticket(s) early.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: María Korol

María Korol was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1980 and moved to the United States in 2004. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Indiana University, Bloomington. She has shown her paintings and drawings nationally and internationally in places as far afield as Bogotá, New York, Berlin, and Atlanta. Her artwork is in the collections of the University of California-Irvine, Agnes Scott College and numerous private collections. She has been the recipient of scholarships to the Akademie der Künste in Berlin in 2016 and the Women’s Art Institute in 2015. She is part of The Creatives Project, has been selected as a Hughley Fellow in 2018, and received the Edge Award with the Forward Arts Foundation in 2019. María Korol is based in Atlanta, GA and is a visiting professor at Agnes Scott College.
