ECHOES Episode 3

ECHOES is a monthly series where we spotlight our community of contributors—writers and artists who’ve been central to Art Papers creative and rigorous coverage over the years. New episodes release the last Saturday of each month and are available on Youtube and Spotify.

This month, we have a dialogue between Elvia Wilk and Sasha Cordingley. They use their respective contributions to the Winter 2022 issue, Other Species, to explore the ways we construct concepts like “toxicity” and the ways these conceptions affect how we treat our shared space.

This conversation originally took place on Instagram Live as a ‘Contributor Conversation’, a series where we invite writers from the most recent issue to discuss their texts.

Linked below are the texts discussed by Cordingley and Wilk, as well as a link to purchase the physical issue in which they appear.

Sasha Cordingley (she/they) is an arts and culture writer from Hong Kong and the Philippines. Their writing has been featured in Hyperallergic, C Magazine, ART PAPERS, and Dirt.
