Maxwell Paparella has worked with Art Papers as a copy editor and contributor since 2019. His writing has also been published in BOMB, the Brooklyn Rail, Pioneer Works’ Broadcast, and elsewhere. He has edited books, catalogs, didactic materials, and dissertations for authors, artists, curators, and scholars. Paparella has edited nonfiction films that have appeared in True/False, International Film Festival Rotterdam, New Directors/New Films, Performa, and the Whitney Biennial. He holds a B.A. from Bard College in Film + Electronic Art. He currently serves as the managing editor of Screen Slate. He lives in the city of New York.
